I spent over 20 years in vending machine operations, starting as a routeman
through regional operations manager to the headquarters of a major
organization doing over 100 million in sales in 1990 dollars. And I can tell
you that Quickbooks might be a great program for running the accounting of a
smal vending business but it will not give you machine or truck
accountability and productivity information that you will need to be
successful.
Things may have changed since then, but when I was in the business there
were relatively inexpensive programs for small operators. I say relatively
inexpensive because any software specifically written for one industry tends
to be very pricey. Subscribe to Vending Times
