Restoring Missing Payroll Data Jason Saffer 01-05-2008

Hi all,

After sending in my end of December direct deposit payroll info, I had to
restore a backup from a few weeks ago. So, I no longer have the checkbook
entries for the paychecks that I already have direct deposited. In order to
balance the checkbook, etc. I manually entered the December paychecks
without using Direct Deposit.

Whenever I now start QuickBooks, it gives me a message that says:

This QuickBooks file may be missing some of the payroll data that you have
already sent to the Payroll Service. You need to restore the missing data
before creating any new payroll transactions. To restore the missing data,
click the Go Online button in the Send Payroll Data window.

So, it seems that QuickBooks is recognizing that I have to enter some data.
But I can't seem to figure out how to "click the Go Online button" and I
don't know exactly where the Send Payroll Data window is. The closest thing
I've been able to find is a window that shows I've got no payroll info to
send. Help! How exactly do I proceed to restore the already-sent direct
deposit info into my checkbook register? Or, is there some easy way to just
get rid of this message since I've already entered the payroll data
manually? (By the way, I'm not relying on the Direct Deposit service to file
taxes or payroll reports, etc. for me, so I don't care if their payroll data
for us is totally accurate for those purposes).

Thanks very much. ...Jason
