Why would you need distiller? When I print it gives me the option
of choosing the printer. Far over on the left is Adobe Acrobat
to the left of the hp4100, HP Laserjet III and others.

Choose Adobe Acrbat and poof.....you've got a pdf file.

Apparently CutePDF should be an option there too but for me
it never showed up.

I don't think you do have it or you'd have the printer. Distiller isn't
Acrobat, its of the same family, often packaged with it, but still a
different app.

If you only have Distiller then you can't because Distiller makes PDFs from
a postcript *file* You can't save a QB report to a .ps file unless you can
get there via Excel. Some versions of Distiller, if memory serves, can make
PDFs from Office files. If your version can do that then export the report
to Excel & save. Open Distiller and tell it to make a PDF out of the Excel
file.

If you can't do the above then just get one of the free PDF programs out
there like CutePDF (assuming its still free) so you'll have a PDF Printer.

OK Everyone many thanks for your advice. I have now reinstalled
Acrobat which I think also has Distiller...I have the pro version and
loo and behold I see it as a printer as expected. Job done.

Cheers

When I installed Adobe Acrobat, the installation resulted in AA becoming one
of my printer choices. Anytime, in any program, I ask for a document to be
printed, AA is one of my choices.

Not being more than about a 5 on the computer 1-10 technical side, my
suggestion would be to uninstall AA and reinstall it to achieve its full
potential.

Sincerely,
Joanne

Also to be noted here is that "Adobe Acrobat Reader" does not count,
you
have to make sure it is "Adobe Acrobat" or "Adobe Acrobat Elements."
