Quickbooks Pro 2008, multi-user.

I really love that one can choose accounts to "pre-fill" when setting up
vendors, up to three accounts. I have a number of vendors whose bills often
fall into different categories and must be distributed to different accounts, so
this saves a lot of time scanning the list.

However, Quickbooks insists on recording a $0.00 transaction in the journal for
each and any of the pre-filled accounts that do not get an amount distributed to
them. So, for instance, if my vendor has pre-fill accounts for Shop Supplies,
Truck Expense, and Forklift expense, and the bill I receive only relates to Shop
Supplies, I'll see a journal entry that looks like:

>Keystone Battery 5920-00 Truck Expense $0.00
>Keystone Battery 5921-00 Forklift Expense $0.00
>Keystone Battery 5922-00 Shop Supplies $50.00
> ------
> $50.00

And my journal report becomes 3 times as long as it needs to, filled with
useless info.

So, my question is, is there a setting that will allow for suppression of
recording $0.00 transactions? The alternative is to "Clear Splits" each time I
have a single-account bill, but that undercuts the whole convenience of multiple
pre-filled accounts.

Thanks for your help.
