My wife switches between her laptop and desktop (different floors)
while working. Can we share the QB file via the briefcase in Windows?
I've set it up, but is shows a read only, so it won't sync back.
Changing the attribute doesn't hold.

Any ideas?

If you have a wired or wireless network at your
home, setup QB to host multi-user access on the
desktop computer. It will work with a single license
as long as you don't attempt to run QB on both the
desktop and laptop at the same time.

This is something I do not get. QB 07 is using Sybase no? Why on earth
does it still require windows file shares and not simple IP/port number. I
was expecting it to work with port numbers like a normal DB, but sad to find
it did not and still requires file shares.

I to have spend many sleepless nights pondering over this same dilemma.

Because they want more money for it. On the phone they told me that an
additional multi-user copy would cost $1400.00.
They can suck eggs. Anyone know how to crack this?
