I think you are both referring to the "Payments to Deposit" window,
and not the "Make Deposits" window. So I still stand by my comment
that the "Make Deposits" window has not changed.

Unfortunately this new bit of information does not give me any clue on
how to help *you*. Because like you, I cannot see how to change the
sorted order in the "Payments to Deposit" window.

Unless Intuit can tell you how to sort this screen, you'll need to get
the batch information from your processor. Another option is to get
the QB Merchant service. This groups all cc payments together
correctly in the "Payments to Deposit" window, making it very simple
to record bank deposits correctly.

I believe I stated the same thing Jennifer a couple of days ago. The easiest
thing to do
is to settle the batch of VISA & MC transactions and post them as a deposit at
the end
of the business day. Do not worry about whether the date of business matches
the
date the deposit date. There is only usually a 2 day lag between the settlement
date
and the deposit date anyway. I don't see the problem here. Just enter the
totals as CC
deposits and if you are generating Sales Receipts for CCs just match your copy
of
each receipt with the Sales Receipt for each customer and file it.

Allow me to add to this by stating that each settlement batch is the backup to
your
control for CC deposits recorded in QB.

If I need to specially sorted report from QB I carry out to Excel and data sort
it
accordingly.

Thank you Jennifer, you are correct it is the payments to deposit
window. Sorry for the confusion. I have a open support case with
Intuit, and I'll let you know if they provide me with a solution. One
work around is to identify a new payment method VISA/MASTERCARD in the
sales reciept window rather than simply VISA or MC.

PS, since we have a relatively small family company, we are trying to
avoid having to spend more money on yet another component of QB.
