I got the one time download for QB Pro 2006. Intuit sent me a
QuickBooks Payroll Service Key. I entered the key via
Employees/Payroll Service Activities/Activate Service Key. QB did
some downloads and came back with a message saying the key is expired.

I did the dl in May and just got around to working on this today, but
shouldn't the key be good until Feb 2007? Or am I mucking something
up?

Steve, the free one-time payroll tax table download will allow you to do
payroll based on that table until Feb.of the following year, or 02/2007 in
your case. If you downloaded the one-time table in May and recently
attempted to download tax tables again, then that may have caused your
problem. I think that the key will only open the pipes for a shot period of
time to allow you to download your table. It's best to call Intuit and
plead your case, they will probably let you get your tax table back.

That may be it. Although I didn't try to d/l the table again. QB
tried to connect to their server for some reason. I thought it was
trying to validate the key but apparently that wasn't the case.

Thanks for the input.
