If you have 2 copies of QB a 2nd user can access the data base. The second
username can be restricted in access to allow reports only. If you have
only one copy of the software then only one computer at a time may access
the data. In our office we purchased a second copy of QB and installed it
on several computers. While the bookkeeper was in QB any one of the other
computers could view QB data but only one. Intuit has it set up so the
serial number of QB is registered on the data. Only one copy of any single
serial number can access the data. A second copy of QBP 2006 can probably
be picked up on e-Bay for well under $200.
