Are QuickBooks W2's accepted by the IRS (taking into consideration that I
have downloaded the latest forms updates) or will I need to use pre-printed
forms?

Yes. The IRS will accept plain paper w-2s and w-3s as printed from QB.

For the employee copy you need to use perforated paper although I have read
that some have use plain unperforated paper with no issues. You are also
supposed to include the employee instructions either on the back of the w-2
or as a separate page.

And who would have the issue? The employee who gets the form and can't cut it
apart?

I thought the same thing. And with more and more people efiling the need to
send the paper w-2 in with the return gets smaller and smaller.
