Hello,

I have a number of outstanding invoices for customers. When I try to
Create Statements for these customers, I put in a range of dates (that
covers the dates of the invoices), I get a message saying that there is
no data with which to create Statements.

I was on the phone with Intuit for an hour and they couldn't figure it
out. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Karen

What release are you on? (Hit F2 when in QB) 2006 Rx ? The latest release
for QB 2006 is R7. You should update if you haven't done so already. You
might want to also resort all of your lists and do a verify/rebuild just in
case ... If that doesn't clear up the issue, as a workaround:

You might want to try selecting multiple customers, select half the list and
then generate statements, and then generate statements for the other half.
Does that work?

How are you selecting these customers?

What happens if you just do a create for a single customer?

Are you confused between outstanding balances and activity on the account?

Are you sure that you are entering the date range correctly - including
the year! For that matter do the invoices have the right date including
year on them?

Are you able to get a statement if you don't specify a date range, but
do it for all open as of today?

Just a few things to think about.

Hello again,

Intuit support accessed my computer from India and looked for a corrupt
file. Looked at our accounts receivable to make sure the clients
actually owed money. He also played with the dates on the statement
window. After an hour of this, his computer crashed. He asked if
he could research this and call me back but he never did.

And, yes, we do get results with an aging report.

Any more ideas you may have are appreciated!

Thanks,

Karen

Rebuild the data file. I'm sure they had you do this, but once more
just in case.

remove and re-install SlowBooks.

After it's re-installed, Rebuild the date file.

Oh, before you do this, I should ask, what happens if you try statements
on the sample company file? Fail or work okay? If it works okay it
isn't SlowBooks, it is your data file. Rebuild. If it still fails,
send to QB Data Recovery service.
