If all you need is a record you sent it, cc yourself. If you need a real receipt, then send it certified snail mail, return receipt requested. There is a product called Msgtag that "claims" that it can track your messages. http://www.msgtag.com/home/ You will need to convert or print your invoice to pdf and use your e-mail program (outlook) to send the messages. I have a friend who uses it for his clients and he claims it works. I don't know if it works when sending to a webmail address such as hotmail, yahoo, AOL, etc. but it might be worth testing it out.
