Hi, everyone,

I'm using QBW Pro 2007, and I inadvertently deleted a deposit from
last month. Now when I try to reconcile, my bank statement is showing
the correct starting balance, but QBW is showing the balance less the
amount I deleted. How do I input the deleted amount back into QBW so
the opening balances match?

thanks very much,

The same way you did before you deleted it. Duh.

To expand on that....
Deposit the payments that were part of the deleted deposit.
If you had previously reconciled the deposit, you must reconcile the new
deposit.
-Go to the Banking menu and click Reconcile.
-Enter an ending balance equal to the beginning balance plus the deposit
amount.

Reconcile the account the way you usually do, selecting the deleted
deposits.

After you reenter the check, go to List/Chart of Accounts and drill into the
bank account. Be sure there is a check mark next to the check you have
reentered. The check mark identifies it as one which has previously been
reconciled and will deduct it from your beginning balance for the new
reconciliation.

Sincerely;
Joanne

Sorry, I meant deposit not check. Same process applies.

Sincerely,
Joanne
