hi there,

i currently use QB on a desktop PC. I am getting a laptop and would
like to be able to access QB from the laptop.
I imagine i just need to install a copy of QB on the laptop, then make
sure the data file/QB directory on the PC is shared so i can access it
from the laptop copy of QB which will be looking in the same shared
area for the data (over a wireless network).

Does anyone else do this? and if so, does it work trouble-free?

thanks

Version makes a difference, and I would avoid a wireless connection

thanks Gary. Version wise it will be the latest i think, currently
using QB5! and i think it's time for an upgrade :-)
re wireless - i know wired is better but this is just sitting around
the house in the evening and deciding i want to have a quick check on
invoices, etc. the majority of work will be done on the PC as it
always has been.

thanks

Then install the free downloadable version of LogMeIn on the destop computer
and access QB remotely. Works quite well over a decent wireless connection.
