The question about screen territory in Q2008 prompted me to take a look at
how many transactions can be displayed in 2-line mode at different
resolutions.
This is Q2008 H&B R6 Vista Ultimate 64-bit.

1920 x 1200 = 22
1600 x 1200 = 22
1920 x 1080 = 18
1920 x 1050 = 18
1280 x 1024 = 17
1600 x 1000 = 16
1280 x 960 = 15
1440 x 900 = 14
1152 x 864 = 13
1280 x 800 = 11
1360 x 768 = 10
1280 x 768 = 10
1024 x 768 = 10
1280 x 720 = 9
960 x 600 = 6
800 x 600 = 6
640 x 480 = 2

Q2008 will start in VGA mode, but it recommends at least 800 x 600
resolution :-)

hmmm....
...not much goin' on 'round the ol' home place today, huh Bob? LoL!

For the record, I was using Q2008 Deluxe with XP at 1024 X 768 on a
17" CRT. I was able to see 12 2 line transactions instead of the 10
indicated above. When I went to a higher resolution, I could get a
couple more but I needed a magnifying glass to read them.
On the other hand, at the same 1024 X 768, I get 18 (as opposed to 12)
2 line transactions using Q98.

If that's true, you need glasses ... or a new prescription.

I've got a 15" monitor using 1680 x 1050 resolution. I've got
15 two-line transactions visible in my non-investment account
register ... and I have no trouble seeing those transactions.

Nope. Eyes are fine.

I have no idea why the difference. But my monitor isn't even capable
of resolution that high.
By "non-investment account", would that have a Register view like I
described earlier with the 1/2" spam line across the bottom and a
similar size line button line just above that? If I could have gotten
rid of those, I could have gotten a couple more transactions into
view. Still wouldn't have matched Q98 but would have been a little
better.
