The "expense" is in the paycheck account, not the 401k account.
But removing accounts from reports/graphs is usually not the way
to remove "transfers" from reports/graphs.
In a regular report (accessed from the "Reports" menu), you
generally have the Advanced tab in the Customize dialog where
you can eliminate all transfers. That tab is usually not
present for the customization of reports/graphs in the various
Quicken "Centers".
If you want some transfers in the report/graph but not others,
you eliminate them on the "Categories" tab in the Customize
dialog: at the end of the list of categories, are what I call
"account categories", account names that appear in square
brackets in the category fields of "transfer" transactions
(every Quicken "account" is also a "category"). Exclude your
transfers by excluding the appropriate "account categories".
