John: There is still something very wrong with Q2008 H&B. In fact
I've been able to delete transactions and re-enter them and make my
balances come much closer to the paper records. BUT at one point I
had the following situation (again, corrected by removing everything
and re-entering them). My practice, to account for dates differential
in account transfers, is to set up an account "In Process". My 2005
MRD from my TDSP account was $16,027.80. I wanted:
12-16-05 TDSP->In Process $16,027.80
12-24-05 In Process->SvngsAcct $16027.80
In converting 2007 to 2008 something got duplicated...there were extra
transactions. I removed them all and reentered them. At one point I
had the first withdrawal from TDSP above entered. When I went to the
In Process account the deposit on 12-16 wasn't there.
I closed Quicken and re-opened it. The deposit was still not in the
In Process account, although the TDSP withdrawal was there.
At this point I re-deleted everything, closed and re-openeed Quicken,
and just entered the 2 transactions above from the TDSP and the
SvngsAcct accounts. I closed and reopened and all seemed well. But
something funny is going on. And a number of my Q2007 transactions
seem to have not been transformed properly without a lot of coaxing.
