ALT-TAB and Quicken Renny Bosch 07-26-2009

When I use ALT-TAB (on Windows XP) to switch between Quicken and some
other program (usually a browser open on a bank site), I find that
switching away from Quicken works normally, but switching back to
Quicken produces some oddball display. While holding down ALT and
having pressed TAB once, when it should show a little window with the
icons of all the other running programs, it also shows what seems to
be all the Quicken header bars on top of the previous program's
window. This is hard to explain, but if you have seen it you will
know what I'm talking about. Is this standard Quicken behavior or do
I have something configured wrong?

I'm afraid this won't help much but it's working as it should with
Quicken 2009 and Vista Ultimate X64.

What would happen if you backed up everything, then deleted Quicken and
re-installed it?

Thanks for the suggestion. I "Remove"d Quicken. Restarted WinXP, and
reinstalled Quicken Home & Business 2008. With great anticipation
tested it, and with great disappointment discovered that it does
exactly the same thing as before. Was a good try, though.

Sorry, that's my only suggestion. I hope someone else can fix it, BTW,
have you looked at the Quicken forums?

Hi Group,

Sorry to have bothered you all with this thing. I discovered that
years ago I had installed an ALT-TAB tweak from TweakUI of PowerToys.
When I disabled that, the problem went away. Don't know why it worked
at first and why or when it stopped working. But now it's OK.
