Accessing .QDF File Over Network

For years I've been using Quicken Deluxe 2004 for Windows (see no need to
migrate) installed on desktop. Just got notebook and installed program.
Tries to open data file NAME.QDF across the network but get message the QW
cannot open file.

Is this a QW2004 limitation or do I need to do something??

Found solution. I needed to make sure serverside would allow me to write to
this file.
