Hello,

Am using Quicken H&B 2007.
A few weeks ago, new accounts that I added stopped appearing in
alphabetical order on the account bar. They are just all added at the
bottom of their respective categories.
I know I can rearrange them manually. But that is quite a bit of work
(moving each account up through the others to it's proper place).

Does anyone know how I can get Quicken to resume adding them to the
account bar in alphabetical order?

TIA

Please ignore my response, LT. It was meant for another thread.

It looks to me that Quicken thinks you've rearranged accounts and they should
stay that way (ie, you've overridden the default of alphabetical sort).
Unfortunately, I don't know how to get it back. I suspect it is an registry
setting, but can't help you any further.

Fred,

Many thanks for your effort.
Interesting idea.
But I don't believe that it is in the registry because I copied the
data files to another PC where I have installed Quicken and the
problem is the same.
Also, I have 2 other files that don't have this problem.
So, I believe that it is a setting that got changed in this file
rather than the program or the registry.

But again, thank you for you input.

Hi, LT.

I don't use H&B, so I'm only making a wild guess, but...

In some part of Windows (such as Favorites), there is a Sort by Name option
on the right-click menu. Clicking this does what it says. But if we add
items later, they go to the bottom of the list. But we can Sort by Name
again whenever we like, and the whole list gets alphabetized again. Without
having to fiddle with the Registry. ;<)

Is there such a setting somewhere in H&B?
