Add new credit card account to PIN vault? Mark Hammer 04-26-2006

Using Quicken 2006 Basic here.

I have added an additional credit card account to my Cash Flow bar. Now I
want to set it up to automatically download transactions, as I have with
three other credit card accounts. The first three are set up in the PIN
vault. Now I want to add the new account. However, I see no option to "add
new" to the PIN vault.

Do I really have to delete it and add those other accounts all over again,
just to add another?

What am I missing?

Thanks in advance,

Mark Hammer

Have you set up the account for online access? Last time I added an account
it was automatically added to my pin vault once I had enabled the online access.

The new credit card account is an Amazon.com visa card with Chase bank. I
have set it up for online access -- at least I can access the account
outside of Quicken through a browser.

However, within Quicken, in Account Details | Online Services tab, it says
"Transaction download is not available."

Guess that means that Chase doesn't provide that service, huh? I thought
they were one of the biggest credit card vendors. Can that be true?

You must have the correct Financial Institution named in the
Quicken fi field. It must be the *exact* financial institution
name that your fi requires.

Have you checked your Online> Participating Financial
Institutions List?

Why in the world aren't you asking Chase?

According to the intuit site Chase does provide that service. I would try
activating it to see what happens. You may have to call chase to enable
downloads first.
