Hi,

I am trying to add my 401k netbenefits (fidelity) account to quicken 2005,
however it is not able to download the transactions.
The quicken help page suggests the following:
Click the Summary tab if it is not already open. In the Account Attributes
section, click Convert to a 401(k) or IRA? When you are prompted, specify
that you want to convert this account to a 401(k), and then follow the
on-screen instructions.

However, I do not see the " Convert to a 401(k) or IRA? " option at all.
What am I missing? I am using Quicken 2005 basic, and read on their forums
that one user had been given that as the reason. If anyone has been able to
succcessful in adding and downloading netbenefits into quicken basic, and
can share that information, it would be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

Do not know what effect this has on your setup problem but QW Basic
version does not include QW's 401k account setup and related features.
A 401k account is handled in Basic by creating a tax-deferred brokerage
account.

And that is very likely why op can't download. I'm fairly
certain that you must have a true Quicken 401k account to
download 401k account transactions.

I was able to do my Fidelity Netbenefits (before I moved it to an IRA at
Vanguard) with no problems but I could only do one Netbenefit account.

How many Netbenefit accounts are you trying to access with Quicken 2005?

My wife and I both had Netbenefit accounts and Quicken 2005 Premier
would only allow one account to update. I would assume that Basic would
not work any differently. At the time Fidelity said it was a Quicken
problem and the Fidelity rep said he thought Intuit was working on it.

When you tried the download did you get any sort of error message?

Hope this helps
Marty

Its only one account. The error message I get when I try to download is:
OL-226-A
The solution listed tells me to use the "Convert to a 401k or IRA?" option,
but I dont see that at all.
