Please log in for more thread options The naming of the transactions is independent of Quicken, it comes from the
banking or transaction processing centers. Quicken only displays what is
provided by the banking provider. With that in mind, at least Quicken
provides the renaming rules, which are a reasonable solution to the
sometimes cryptic merchant or transaction descriptions provided by your
bank. I don't think your issue is with Quicken, it's with the banking and
credit industry at large. If you're willing to live with the transaction
descriptions as provided by your bank, then you can disable the renaming
rules in Quicken, which may be your best bet for avoiding the frustration.
