Anyone have any suggestions for an alternative to HSBC for short term
cash. I've been very happy with their 5.05% return.... but now that they
are dropping DirectConnect, it's time to look around again.

Who's paying this kind of return - and offering DirectConnect?

Several banks offer high yeild savings accounts by the internet...just
google for them.

Something else to consider if you are in the U.S. are ETF's that represent a
holding of a foreign currency and pay the overnight interest rate. For
example there is ticker FXB...
