Thanks. That tells me that all of my OSU connections use
Express Web Connect.

So far, and only sometimes, when I use OSU it downloads NO transactions --
but says it was successful. Other times OSU works as expected and downloads
the transactions into the lower part of the Qkn account window for
acceptance.

Some of those times when OSU failed to find bank transactions I expected
should be there, I used Firefox to connect to my bank website and check my
account; it shows one or more transactions available for download, which I
then download manually into Qkn.

I'll do that, and thanks for your comments. Sounds as if this is the
answer.

(Later) Well, sort of, I guess.

Quicken Deluxe 2007 (R5) One-Step Update did not download the transactions I
saw on two of my bank accounts with recent transactions when using a direct
Web Connect to the bank websites with Firefox 3.0.3 until at least 36 hours
had passed since I first saw them via that direct connection to those
accounts.

Does this meet the "norm," or could this mean that there might be some kind
of problem with the Quicken program or the Quicken servers?

I note that Bob Wang has said that Express Web Connect sometimes
takes several days to provide transactions that have been posted
to his account. If you are certain that does not pertain to you
then you'll have to use plain Web Connect to download.

But if you are actually usingI "Direct Connect" and Direct
Connect does not (appear to) download "some" of your
transactions, you'll have to engage in more investigation to
determine whether the problem lies with Quicken or your
financial institution. [If Direct Connect does not appear to
download ANY of your transactions, you have a different problem
... and I have no help for you.]

You can view what was included in your download, by going to:

Help > Product and Customer Support > OFXlog

There you can view the OFX transactions that were downloaded,
and you can determine whether the specific transactions you
believe are missing, were actuallly part of the download.

Yes, it pertains, as all my OSU institutions connect via Express Web
Connect. So it appears that these delays are normal for this process.

Intuit would do better by their customers if they allowed OSU using Express
Web Connect to refresh the data available from financial institutions at
least every 12 hours.

Thanks for your comments.

I know that my (Canadian) banks do not download anything of the current day.
New transactions are only available for download after nightly processing.
Could something similar be the cause of your 36-hour delay?
