I have Quicken Basic 2007 (Windows XP). I have my bank make automatic
payments of the exact same amount that are made on the same day each
month.
So, I create a scheduled payment in Quicken. I enter all the necessary
information and I select:
Automatically Enter 0 days in advance
Then, on the first of the month, I check to see if my transactions are
automatically entered. I open the register for my checking account and
look to see if the transaction has been entered. AND THEY ARE NOT
AUTOMATICALLY ENTERED. Over on the right, on the same line as the
transaction are the words
(Auto) Edit Skip
but I can only click on Edit or Skip, I cannot click on Auto.
Furthermore, if I right-click on the transaction, the word Enter is
grayed out ... I can't enter the transaction that way!
So I wait another day and THEY ARE NOT AUTOMATICALLY ENTERED. So I
wait another day ... same thing.
How do I get these transactions to be entered automatically on time
without human, feline or bovine involvement? (This worked fine in my
previous version of Quicken on this computer...)

Hmm, I see the same behavior in Quicken 2007 H&B.
In fact, if I set the Auto Entry to a date that is already passed, I get a
red "Overdue Transaction," well, DUH! ;-)
Until this new "feature" is debugged by Intuit, you can always use
Edit>Remind Me>0 days ahead, and enter the transaction that way.
One "manual" entry a month doesn't seem to be too onerous.

It's a lot more than one manual entry, its actually about 10 per
month, but if this is the only way to get it done, I guess I will have
to live with it this way.

I have a whole bunch of transactions that are autimatically entered 30 or
more days in advance. When I get the bill/statement from the utlity Co, or
the credit card, I adjust the amounts according to the bills.
Using Q2006 (Premier, but that's likely not a point).

Strange, I don't recall hearing of this before.
What happens if you set the auto enter to 1 day in advance?
