John:

WELL! I changed a Scheduled Transaction to 1 day in advance, worked fine.

Changed it back to 0 days in advance, and Automatically Enter also worked.

SO, Q2007 H&B AND Premier seem to handle Automatically Enter.

Maybe the problem is with Q2007 Basic, or Paige's file in particular.

Strange, I don't recall hearing of this before.

What happens if you set the auto enter to 1 day in advance?

I wonder if it had something to do with the change of year from
2006 to 2007 and the transactions being looked at being due on
1/1/2007? Or something like that.

I wonder if OP's problem resolved itself.

I started thinking about this, and operator error may have been the problem
on my part.

I do not recall explicitly exiting Quicken, and re-entering to allow
"Automatically Enter" transactions to be recorded.

Maybe OP had Quicken running when 1/1/07 rolled around, and that was why
transaction for yesterday did not get entered automatically.

Great point. When I started reading the first post, I thought
of having to exit Quicken; but the op seemed to indicate these
transactions had been setup for sometime. I foolishly thought
that meant the op would have exited Quicken since setting up
those transactions. I forgot that some folks leave their
computer on and Quicken running all the time.

Yes: you do have to exit Quicken after setting up an automatic
scheduled transaction for the same day to get it to enter. I
have never bothered to test whether you must exit Quicken after
setting up every automatic transaction to cause it to be
automatically entered.

I have entered these transactions months in advance. I exit Quicken
every time I am done using it (I do not leave it open continuously).
So I have exited and returned to Quicken many many times during this
time period and I continue to have the problem.

I will try setting them to enter the item automatically 1 day in
advance, see if that helps at all.
