Quicken 2007 will not allow me to download a bunch of
creit card
transactions for January that were missed in an earlier
download of data for Dec, Jan and Feb.

The quicken one step results in no transactions. If I
start with the Chase cc account and download - same
result. If I set preferences for save to file, Quicken
will allow me to import file but still zero transactions
to accept although file has data.

Bank can DL to QIF file but Quicken 2007 refuses to import
QIF (pet bitch of mine - no way to import data from
another file!)

Am I missing something - is there a way to do this?

I know this isn't the purpose of your post.. but I'm sure glad I merged my
and my wife's separate Quicken data sets the last year they supported
import/export!

I don't know, but I haven't been able to download my BofA credit card account
for quite some time now.... I am resorting to pen and paper registry entry...
this is stupid. You can download the QIF file, but you run the risk of having
to go manually through hundreds of transactions, depending on how often you
use your credit card.

Is your QIF file corrupted, because the import function worked for me. Does
the bank give you a WebConnect file (QFX) ?

Whatever you do.... make a backup before.

What do you mean the January transactions "were missed" and how
are you determining that they were "missed"?

When you have downloaded transactions in the "Accept
transactions into register" window, how do you Accept them? Do
you do an "Accept all"?

You can not "download" transactions that have already been
downloaded. That's why my earlier questions.

January transactions were not there determined by checking against
Chase online credit card statement. Dont know how this happened.

No, usually one by one.

So, Quicken does not provide a way to overide or reset some flag that
allows me to to do this, ie, to go back and reload earlier
transactions.
Not critical, I'll enter them manually. But, it's another example of
lack of flexibility.
