I know the MBNA people are not satisfied with the switch to Bank of
America. But I don't think I have seen mention by regular BofA credit
card holders about this problem: The online banking site no longer
offers the ability to download recent transactions. I can only download
what was there as of the last statement date.

Does anyone know anything about this?

Does anyone care to recommend credit cards that will give a better
online banking service?

Thanks

Now that I have my download working for Nations Bank, let me try my
MBNA Card for lunch tomorrow and see what happens.

I've noticed the same thing - the new system is absolutely awful.

My Citibank card handles automatic downloads pretty well.

I had two MBNA cards that were swithced to BoA. I had trouble getting
Quicken 2007's One Step Update (Express WebConnect) to work after the
BoA switch. I ended up calling BoA and the explaination I got was:

THere are two types of BoA customers:
1) Credit Card Only
2) Banking (potentially with one or more Credit Cards).

According to the Quicken Specialist at BoA, I was in the first category
and as such, I can only use WebConnect (No Express WebConnect) and I
can only download statements at the end of each cycle.

If I open a checking account or a savings account I then get moved into
the second category. By being in the second category, I can download
transactions daily, even for my credit cards.

The rep said that it has to do with different Governement Regulations
that apply to "Banks" and that apply to "Credit Card Companies".

?????? I have two credit cards with no ties to a bank, and have no
problems downloading the latest transactions.
