Bank of America credit card downloads-dropped transactions issue knenon 05-29-2007

Hello -

I have read posts on the net about existing MBNA credit card customers
losing the ability to download transactions into Quicken or Money once
Bank of America bought them. See this post here
http://financialsoft.about.com/b/a/257551.htm

But did you know that the existing BofA card customers were messed up
in the process too? I have been a BofA cc card customer for 10+ years
and using Quicken direct connect (aka One Step Update) all along. Then
in October, my transactions started coming through incomplete. And to
make matters worse, somewhere in that same timeframe, BofA stopped
allowing date ranges to be put into webconnect - you'd have to wait
until your statement closed to get the downloads. So I've been
entering the dropped transactions manually for months now.

The technology group handling this is "offsite" (I believe in India)
and the Dallas TX troubleshooters who forward them issues seem to have
communication and timezone delays. It is one royal mess. I have been
given so many false dates on fixes that I have lost any professional
respect for this bank. I agree with the post referring to BofA as
Billy Bob's Savings and Piggy Bank.

If you are an existing BofA cc client who is having this problem, I'd
love to know about it by posting here and better yet, I'd love for
BofA to hear about it. I hear there are thousands but it STILL doesn't
seem to have the attention of the executive office.

You can reach the Executive Customer Relations Office (escalations
come to this group) at 704-386-5687. Please let them know of your
frustration! I'm trying to migrate my business to American Express but
it takes time to move all the automated billing. I had hoped BofA
would fix the problem before I had gotten too far.

Thanks!

I've been having the same problems with credit card downloads. I've
decided that until BofA can solve this I will be using my Chase Credit
Card. Also, I no longer get check numbers downloaded to my Quicken
register on a one step update. What a shame!! Bill
