I recently transferred stock from one investment account to another.
When I do a C/G report the transferred stock shows up in the report as
an entry with zero realized gain. It would be nice to eliminate this
as it really isn't a capital transaction. I realize that it has no
tax consequences.

Any ideas?

Marvin

What version of Q are you using?

HOW did you do the transfer?

When you go to the Portfolio, what does it show as your cost basis?

Marvin:

I'm not sure why a transfer would show up in your C/G report.

One way to kludge this would be to just move the original buys into the
current account.

This would not reflect "reality," but it should remove the stock from the
C/G report.

Bob

P.S. I'm not an accountant, so there are probably many reasons why you DON'T
want to do what I've suggested.
