YES
At least in transaction, and maybe other, reports.
In the Customize box of a transaction report, under the
Category tab, on the right side, there is a box with the
title "Include Payees". If you enter in this box
~Joe Smith
all transactions with Joe Smith as the payee will be
excluded from the report. Similarly for Categories that you
wish to exclude.
The use of the Tilde (~) to exclude items from a report was
covered in the Help Files of early DOS versions of Q. I am
not sure if it is still in the newer Help Files, but the
functionality still works up through Q2009.
