Can't Install Rel 4 Update The Streets 01-30-2007

Anyone else having trouble installing the release 4 update?

Q2007 H&B.

Update appears to be working -- closes components OK and
status bar crawls across to the right. Then after a pause I get
a screen saying that the update could not be installed.

Tried closing all other programs and re-starting, as suggested.
Same result.

I wonder if the download was somehow damaged. But I don't
see anyway to tell Quicken to re-download the udpate.

Ideas and suggestions?

Go here:

https://quicken.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/quicken.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=5528

Download the manual update. "Run" (double-click) the downloaded
manual update. Be certain you have admin priveledges ... and
probably, that you are the same user that "installed" Q2007.

John -- Thanks for the pointer. I think my problem may be related to
the downloaded credit card transactions that I've not accepted yet. As
soon as my wife get back from a trip, I plan to go through and accept
these. Then, I'll try the update again and report my results.

One advantage of the approach I suggested is that you run the
update when Quicken is not running ... so no chance the data
file would be involved.

But you can accomplish that particular end by starting Quicken
while holding down the CTRL key, which will cause Quicken to
start with no data file open ... so you could try updating to R4
without concern about what's in the data file.
