Hi all:

For some reason or another I can't upload (update) my investment
portfolio on Quicken.com.

I should mention that I apparently have 4 Quicken.com accounts. I've
been a Quicken user since the early days of DOS and since I've never
really used Quicken.com (that I remember) I've just created new
Quicken.com accounts when registering new versions of Quicken. I
mention this only because it may have something to do with my problem.

Three of the four Quicken.com accounts seem to be associated with my
current Q2007Deluxe and all of them show the exact same accunts and
securities, indicating the last update to the information was back in
January, 2005. The fourth Quicen.com account tells me that as far as
it knows I'm using an unsupported version of Quicken (2004D) and
invites me to register any currently supported version of Quicken I'm
using.

Anyway, once I'm looking at my portfolio in any one of the "live"
accounts if I click the "Upload Quicken Accounts" button on the page
I'm taken to

https://www.quicken.com/investments/portfolio/uploadquicken/browser/

where I'm told: "The browser you are using is unable to detect Quicken
software. To upload your Quicken accounts directly from the Web, you
must use Internet Explorer 5.0 or later on a Windows PC. To upload
your Quicken accounts from your Quicken software, use One Step Update
-- see Quicken help for detailed, step-by-step instructions."

I'm using MSIN7 on a Windows computer, so I'm not sure why I'm getting
this message.

If I fire up Quicken and click the "Update" button up pops the "One
Step Update Settings" window and I see the "Quicken.com" box is
checked and the "Update my portfolio on Quicken.com" box is also
checked. If I click the "Select Quicken.com data to update" hyperlink
in this window and select the "Portfolio" tab in the resulting window
the investment accounts I want to update are properly checked and the
radio button "Send only my Symbols" is checked. Everything sure looks
correct.

Most of the time after clicking on "Update now" the One Step Udate
Summary window shows up with all green flags and no reported errors.
I do notice however that even if there's a green flag in the
Quicken.com section of the summary window there will be an arrowhead
next to "Quicken.com" (none of the other sections have this arrowhead)
and sometimes instead of the green flag there will be an exclamation
point inside a red ball next to "Quicken.com" but no explaination of
any error.

Anybody have words of wisdom here?

TIA.

Don't know why I was encountering this problem but I solved it by
registering Quicken again and establishing a brand-new Quicken.com
account; the portfolio properly showed up in the new account.
