Is there some way to convert a QDF file to QDFM, so a Windows Quicken file
can be used in Mac Quicken?

Do you want to be able to use the same data file for BOTH Q/Win & Q/
Mac??? Can't be done.

OR, have you switched from Q/Win to Q/Mac and want to convert your
data file?

I do some volunteer work once a year on a Windows machine, in Quicken. For
convenience, I do the work on my Mac (which I use all the time), transport
it to a PC laptop, and it opens fine there. Since most of my colleagues use
Windows, I want them to be trained to work with the Windows laptop after I
no longer do this work (in a few years). I was surprised that although I
could go from Mac to Windows, it wouldn't go the other way!

If this is not possible, I'll just do my work on the Mac and give them notes
about doing it from scratch on the Windows laptop.

Is the Mac new enough that it has an Intel chipset (as opposed to the
original Motorola chipset), and thus can run Q/Win?

If you were going to run Q/win on both machines, you'd need to make
sure that the 2 iterations of Q/Win were from the same year. They
don't necessarily need to be the same version (e.g., Deluxe and
Deluxe), but they WOULD need to be the same year.

Unfortunately, the Mac is not that new, so it doesn't have the Intel chipset.
Also, from what you say, it might not work anyway, as my Mac Quicken is
2004, and the Win version is 2009. So am I out of luck? I thought I moved
the QDFM from the Mac to the Win, but maybe I didn't.
