Is it to be expected that when doing a Corporate name change, all
transactions in the register take on the new security name, as if the
fund had always been called by the new name?

Yes.

[And, just to clarify, the change isn't limited to the
"register" of the account where you make the change: it is
applied to all transactions for that security in whichever
Quicken account they may be.]
