A couple of days ago when I opened Quicken 2007, there was an update
available, which I accepted. After the update was completed, the Version
No. remained at R3.
However, I did find that this update did correct a long-standing bug in
the "Portfolio Value" vs "Cost Basis" graph, where the Custom Date
Option used to display ALL DATES, OR Current Year dates only, but would
not show a user-set date range.
Of more serious consequences following this update, Quicken corrupted
one of the accounts in a data file (that had contained 8 accounts), by
giving it the name of an already-existing, hidden account (no longer
active). The entries in the original hidden account disappeared from
Quicken.
This was the second occurrence this year of accounts being given the
name of already-existing accounts, and losing the original account each
time.
Just wondering whether anyone else has experienced similar issues.
Quicken 2007 appears to be the most bug-ridden version that I have
experienced in more than 15 yr of using Quicken - never have experienced
data corruption problems with earlier versions of Quicken
Thanks
Bruce
