Please log in for more thread options Hi, John.
I've not used Q H&B, but I think this behavior is just like other Quicken
Versions.
We don't actually tell Q "where to store" the data files. But you can use
Q's File | File Operations | Copy and browse to the location (D;Quicken
Data) you want to use. Then Exit Quicken. In Windows Explorer, browse to
that location and click on the QDF file. That should load Q with your data
file. From then on, until you change it, D;Quicken Data should be the
default location for your fileset, and simply clicking the Q desktop icon
should load Q and your file.
After you've made the switch, your weekly automatic backups should go into
the new folder, D:Quicken DataBACKUP, which Q will automatically create.
You will then want to use File | File Operations | Delete to remove the
original fileset (which will quickly be out of date), along with its
automatic backup sets (probably in C:Program FilesQuickenBACKUP), but you
may want to keep those backups for a few weeks- just in case - until you
have a full set in the new location.
