You're right. I took "print" literally and never thought it could also mean
"export formatted data to a file". Silly me! :-)

The 2007 Premier version has:

In the Register view - click report, register report, right click, for a
drop down to choose Excel compatible format.

Nothing like that in 2005 Deluxe? There doesn't seem to be a way to get the
balance into a report.

Of course there is. Every Quicken "report" can be "exported" to
Excel.

In Q2005 there are generally three ways: click "Export Data" in
the report menu, then either "To Excel compatible format", or
"Copy to Clipboard" (then paste in Excel); or click "Print",
then click "Export to tab-delimited (Excel-compatible) Disk
File".
