Nope. That's the easy fix, but I don't run it. I've been told to
turn off hardware accelration, print spooling, change video drivers,
etc. I think perhaps Intuit needs to take the problem a bit more
seriously and stop blaming other mainstream software (like XP or video
drivers) for their poor programming choices. 2006 didn't flicker,
2007 does, horribly so.

I fixed this problem in 2007 version by updating my mouse driver.

I have this problem also, I checked my mouse driver (Microsoft Intel
mouse) and compared it to the latest driver on Microsoft's site and I
have the latest driver. Any other suggestions?

I didn't use 2007, so I'm not aware of the problem you're describing.
I've been using 2008 for a couple of days, and I haven't noticed any
flickering.
