HSBC not allowing direct connect (again) Pierre 03-31-2007

 Anyone else having fits with these people again?

My only success is by logging on to the HSBC website, and
downloading. All else gets an error message.

There are two HSBCs in the financial institutions list.
Nevada and USA.
Neither one of them provides direct connect.
They only provide web connect.

John, I've been using direct connect just fine, until 2 weeks ago.
Didn't have to go to the web and download, etc.

You are probably using Express Web Connect through One Step Update.
This is different then Direct Connect and for some institutions a
little flaky (my Credit Union refuses to set-up even through Quicken
says its available, but regular Web Connect works just fine).

Yerright, it seems to work again, through onestepupdate. HSBC doesn't
like weekends.
