I knew your "successful" procedure was going to produce a
web-connect download, but I thought you knew that and were happy
... so I said nothing.

Who is the fi? Are all your accounts with them what Quicken
calls "cash flow" accounts: checking, savings, credit card? How
many total Quicken accounts (all fi's) do you have activated
(have you successfully activated) for Direct download?

Have you tried Deactivating *all* your accounts with that fi,
then Activating one. That should offer you the opportunity to
match at least six Quicken accounts. Then try to Activate one
of the remaining Deactivated accounts.

Alternatives:
a.) with no account Activated, try making your first Activate
attempt on one of the accounts that has never appeared as a
match choice before
b.) try a Validate on a Quicken "Copy" of your data, then try
the setup in the validated copy.
c.) call your fi

John - thanks for these tips. I figured I'll wait until I get Q2007 and
see what new abilities it had advertised to setup online accounts meant. If
you check out the link that Rick Hess nicely supplied today
(http://quicken.intuit.com/deluxe.jhtml?view=new&lid=prod_tab), one item is:
"Added ability for users to add more than 6 accounts during setup". I think
that might just easily solve my problem! I'll let you know.

Unlike others, I ALWAYS am interested in buying the latest and greatest and
trying it out when I see it in the local Best Buy.

Here's the 'fix' - and it probably would have worked in Q2006 too, but I
just got this 'brilliant' idea after I installed Q2007.

(Again, the problem was that I had a slew of accounts at a particular FI
(mostly bank accounts and CDs, each of which is a 'separate account at the
FI and are actually owned by other family members that I track in their
totally separate Q fileset), and I couldn't seem to get past the Q screen
that asked me for 5 or 6 accounts which I could never seem to get past.)

The "fix" was to indeed set up a dummy account in Q for each one that Q
asked about (named them T1, T2, etc.). Then indeed when I went back into
account setup, the 'others' that I hadn't set up where there in the next
list Q provided from my FI. Looks like one has to satisfy Q's craving for
each one to have an account before it would go on to others. Then, I simply
deleted the test ones.

I would very much like to know if Q2006 (and previous versions)
would work the same way.
