I have a friend who is current with Quicken 2002. He has the disc for
2008 but is wondering if there are any things to watch out for when
doing the update to 2008 from 2002. Please advise, so I can pass the
word along to my friend, who is in poor health, or he would ask
himself. Well, not ask himself, he'd ask you folks...know what I
mean?

Tell your friend to backup twice to CD or flashdrive or ??? something
NOT on his/her computer, label one backup as "2002, DO NOT TOUCH" or
somesuch.

Then install 2008 and use the other backup for the new install. If
there are problems he/she can uninstall 2008, re-install 2002 and then
use the first backup to restore the files.

NOTE: Quicken will save the old 2002 files for you but I've never
really trusted that and it can't hurt to have another backup, can it?
