Hi

Oppenheimer Growth Fund Class A shares were reorganized on Nov 9 into
Oppenheimer Capital Appreciation Fund A. 644.78, growth shares with value of
23398.51 (share price $36.12) became 445.262 shares of capital app value of
23398.51 (share price $52.55). I've owned & tracked this in Quicken since
1996.

So how do I really enter this. I did a search on web & one said to use
Corporate Securities spin off & another said to do corporate Acquisition-
stock for stock.I tried that & it has really screwed up my account. Gives 14
million market value.
Here's what I entered as shown in the box to fill in:

Company Acquired: Oppenheimer Growth Fund Class A
Acquiring Company : Oppenheimer Capital Appreciation Fund A
New Shares issued per held share: 445.262
Price per share for acquiring company after completion of acquisition 52.55

so quicken went through every transaction & then did this?????

Shares owned: 288431.81836
Market value of $14,854,238.65

Thanks,

Barbara L

That's the number of shares you want to end up with.

It would seem that the number of new shares per old share would
be 445.262 / 644.78, or .69056422346 new shares per old share.

You probably can't get it to come out exactly in Quicken (not
enough decimal places available), so I think you just get as
close as you can with the Corporate Acquisition transaction,
then enter an Add Shares or Remove Shares to adjust to the exact
number of shares you should own (445.262).

Thanks a bunch. That was it. It took a bit to get it fixed. Appreciate the
quick response.
