My retirement plans download nicely from my financial institution. One of
the securities in my plan had a name change. In my Quicken register there
are 2 entries:

Date Action Security Description Inv Amount

6/1/2006 Entry "Old Name" - 110.175 Shares Enter Cost
Placeholder for amount of 46.731 shares as of 6/1/2006

6/8/2006 Entry "New Name" +110.175 Shares Enter Cost
Placeholder Entry for holdings amount of 0 shares as of 6/8/2006

My broker tried to fix it on his end but to no avail. The next time I
downloaded, nothing changed in that area (or anywhere else for this
security). The "Enter Cost" is in blue and when clicked the Enter Missing
Transactions Dialog Box comes up. I'm not sure how to deal with this. Any
ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Craig

How about deleting the two placeholders, and entering a
Corporate Name Change transaction.

That seems way too easy.
I'll try that, thanks
