How do I open an older Quicken file??? Calab 07-06-2008

I have Quicken Cash Manager 2008.

There are some Quicken files from 2005 that I need to look through. These
were created with Quicken XG 2005.

When I try and convert the files, Quicken complains that some features
needed aren't part of Quicken 2008, so it refuses to open or convert the
file into something that I can use.

I don't want to modify the file at all, I just need to search the records
for a specific transaction.

HOW can I do this?

:(

If you want to be absolutely sure you do not modify the file, make a copy
of it and use the copy.

What is Quicken Cash Manager? If CM is not compatible with XG then you will
need install a current version of XG so that you can open the old file.

If you still have your 2005 program then installing it might also be your
quickest solution. Just make sure you don't distrub the 2008 CM program.
