How do you get quicken updates? Bernie Cosell 10-23-2009

I'm running Q2009D on XP and I've been following the talk about the release
of R7. So I checked and I am, indeed, only running R6. BUT: I can't
figure out how to get the R7 update. I thought there'd be a "check for
program updates" on one of the menus, but not. The help file says to pick
one-step-update, but the only thing on that is a section at the top for
quotes and such [unchecked], all my actual accounts in the middle [all
checked] and "quicken services" at the bottom [unchecked].

Is there some way I'm missing to actually look for a program update [or is
there some other reason why Q isn't offering me the new update?]

/Bernie

If you do a One Step Update and let it complete, a little icon will show up on
the bottom of the status window when there is an update available. Or you can
manually download the patch here:

Do not rush to get the R7 release; there are problems with it.

I believe those problems will be solved reasonably soon, based on Intuit's
statments; but if you can avoid the update for the moment, I would.

What are the problems? I haven't experienced any yet.

If you had no problem applying the patch, you avoided problem number one.

If you have no problem accessing Quicken Help, you avoided problem number
two.

I can't say whether there are any other problems, as I have not downloaded
the patch, and many users have gotten stuck on problem #1.
