Using Quicken 2006 Premier. Wife has stock options (Non-Qualified)
with various vesting dates and exercise prices. I've entered all
these in Quicken.

She also has a number of Restricted Stock Awards (RSA's) in the same
company. An RSA has no exercise price since it's awarded in
certificate form to her. Like the Non Quals, they vest at various
dates.

How do I enter these in Quicken since Q seems to only recognize
Non-Qualified and Qualified (ISO's)?

What I've done is enter all the yearly awards with the future dates. You
will have to update
the price when they vest. At the time of vesting, the award should be
treated as income, based
on the price at vesting. Her company will include on her W-2, and also do
withholding.
When you sell, normal capital gains will apply.

Tivo'ed, thank you for replying. I understand how they're treated
when vested and the tax implications. What I'm trying to figure out
is how do I enter them now in Q?

As I said, Q only recognizes NQ's and ISO's and requires you enter the
# of shares and the exercise price. As you know, there is no exercise
price on restricted stock. So how do I get them into Q along with her
NQ's?

OK. I re-read your reply and understand what you're saying. That's
the answer I was looking for. Thanks again.
