I've used Quicken for over a decade. The last version I used was 2003
premier home and business.

I've been receiving notice that because of sunset, my downloads would no
longer work.

Fair enough. I upgraded.

But now, AFTER the upgrade, my downloads do not work.
Why? My banks use QIF

I do not understand how Intuit can state.. upgrade the product for download,
and THEN after purchase state.. oh, by the way, we no longer will download.

Here is the kicker.
There is a link stating QIF files are not supported, and a link to Why?

The link sends you to
http://www.intuit.com/commerce/catalog/category.jhtml?categoryId=cat0000000000006333942

Which does NOT TELL ME WHY

I clicked on support issues, and I get a page that gives info on importing
QIF.

I am very confused.

You may want to check with your banks online banking dept. After activating
your accounts for online access, it is likely that you will be able to
connect directly to your account with One Step Update. I find this very
convenient

The "why" is probably a combination of forward moving technology along with
the potential to charge more for their services. Intuit seems to be more
profit motivated than most.

You need to see which method of downloading your bank uses:

http://web.intuit.com/personal/quicken/search.cfm?type=basic&qwid=qw1500&qmid=qm1501&qbid=qb1600&qbmid=qbm1600

Many updated their methods last year when they discontinued the qif download
process. The one step update works like a charm if your bank supports it.
Many banks offer both web and direct connects. You want the "direct connect"
to make your life easier. Unfortunately, some banks are now charging a
monthly fee for this privledge.
