| I believe every version of Quicken can produce a "Tax Schedule"
| report which includes Schedule D. Premier and H&B can produce a
| stand alone Schedule D report.

If your financial institution offers Quicken downloads, you can
download "transactions" to Quicken. Those transactions would be
more-or-less all the transactions that occurred in your account;
they wouldn't be limited to "trades".

Good information. Will be in the front of my mind when editing the
download before generating the Schedule D.

Thank you

My broker - Raymond James, will let you download data into the
Schedule D input form. Also does 1099 data.
I found a few cases where the downloaded info differed from that sent
with the 1099. You can edit it in the input form (not the Schedule D
that goes to IRS.) Was easy to do. I printed the input out and
compared with the mailed stuff. Saved a lot of work, because almost
all the info that was exported from Quicken differed.
What you need to do is match the total sales number that the broker
reports to the IRS.
