When I look at Today's Data tab it shows all of my investment accounts (even
those that I have marked to hide) I have shifted investments over the years
and really don't want to see all of these "0" accounts. How can I get rid
of them without deleting them (or is that the solution?

What version of Quicken?

With Q2006 hiding an account, even an active account, makes it disappear
from my Today's Data info.

Are you sure you hid the account and not just the securities that were in
it?

Can you find any Options or Customize View button for that tab that allows
you to show hidden accounts? [I can't find any on my Today's Data page.]

It seems that almost every version of Quicken shows hidden accounts or
securities in some places where it shouldn't or where some users wish it
didn't. If the above didn't help you need to identify your Quicken version
so that someone with the same version can address your problem.

I am using Q2006 Premier version. When I go into the account list/manage
accounts I have checked the box in the "hide in Quicken" columnof the
accounts I want to hide.. The problem is that the accounts still show up in
Investment Center with the Today's Data tab. I shows all of the individual
securities that I have ever owned even those that I sold some years ago.

Gary,

You said it was showing obsolete *accounts*. If it's showing obsolete
*securities* the hidden securities may still be in your Watch List.

Go into the Security List (Investing -> Security List or Ctrl+Y).

Do you see your hidden securities in the list [they'll have a little hand
icon to the right of the security name]? If not, near the upper right click
on "Options", then "View hidden securities".

Next, in the right-hand column labeled "Watch", click on the boxes with
checkmarks for all your obsolete securities to remove them from the Watch
List.

Finally, if desired, click on "Options" and "View hidden securities" again,
to rehide the old securities in the Security List.

Does this fix your problem? If not, post back. I'm stumped, but maybe
someone else can help.
